As a mom of three, including twins, I have used a lot of different products. Here you will find a bunch of my favorites. I have personally tried each of these products, and these are the best.
Breastfeeding
UpSpring Coconut Nipple Balm
I like this more than Lanolin cream and feel like it heals my nipples more quickly. If they start to feel sore/tender I use this a couple of times and they immediately feel better.
Haakaa Breast Pump
This pump is great to use for hand expression or to catch milk leaking from the opposite breast while breastfeeding.
Bamboobies Reusable Nursing Pads
I used these and love them.
Twin Z Nursing Pillow
This is such a great pillow for tandem breastfeeding of twins. It is also a really comfortable pillow to sleep within the hospital. I LOVE this pillow.
Boppy Nursing Pillow
The Boppy Pillow is helpful to support your arms while breastfeeding. This can also be used to help baby with tummy time and learning to lift their head.
Inflatable Nursing Pillow
This nursing pillow is inflatable, very light weight, and is easy to use. It’s nice because you can deflate it to be very compact, which is much easier to pack up for delivery or to put in your diaper bag.
Nursing Bras
I highly recommend being fitted for bras by a professional bra fitter. I really like Bra Fittings by Court. Courtney also has an online bra store called Bosom Besties with a great bra size calculator with videos on how to measure yourself correctly. It is safe to wear underwire bras while breastfeeding; you have to make sure that they fit properly and don’t put pressure on your breast tissue. Bosom Besties has a good variety of bras in a huge variety of sizes. Plus, it has FREE shipping and FREE returns.
Hotmilk Temptation Nursing Bra
I really like this nursing bra. It is very comfortable. I really like underwire bras because of the support and this is a great option for those with large breasts.
Cake Maternity Zest Nursing Bra
This is a great sports bra. It is comfortable and supportive. This bra comes a bit big, so order a size down from normal.
Anita Fleur Nursing Bra
I love this bra. It fits really well and is a great bra for a variety of breast sizes. Plus, it is so pretty. I love having such pretty nursing bras.
Cake Maternity Rock Candy Nursing Bra
This bra is a great nursing bra for those first couple weeks postpartum as your breasts regulate milk supply and size. Get fitted for this bra about 2 weeks before your due date.
Pumping Bras
Simple Wishes Supermom Bra (nursing and pumping)
It can be used as a regular nursing bra and then converts to a hands-free pumping bra. If you are pumping for work, school, or for any reason, you need a hands-free nursing bra.
Bravado Designs Hands-Free Pumping Accessory
Use with any nursing bra to make a hands-free nursing bra when pumping.
Nursing Clothing
Undercover Mama Nursing Tanks
Great to use under clothing so that abdomen stays covered when lifting shirt to nurse.
Felina Cotton Stretch Camisole
These camisoles are extremely stretchy and comfortable. Because of their stretch, you can easily pull the top down to breastfeed. When used with a shirt over the top, this leaves your back/abdomen covered while feeding. They are inexpensive and also available at Costco.
La Mere Clothing
La Mere Clothing is a Mama run company that has some incredible breastfeeding-friendly clothing with hidden zippers. The shirt above is my favorite. It is lightweight, comfortable, super cute, and you can’t tell it is a breastfeeding shirt. They have shirts, tanks, sweatshirts, dresses, and jumpsuits.
Yelete High Waist Compression Leggings
Covers abdomen while nursing. Another great bonus is that it helps hold everything in while muscles and organs are returning to their normal positions after delivery.
Sleep
Exhausted Mama, No More! Newborn Sleep Class
This class has literally saved my life as a mom of newborn twins. I wish I had learned all of these things with my first child because life with a newborn would have been SO MUCH BETTER. This class taught me so many great skills, and now my twins take great naps and sleep 6-8 hours straight at night (at 11 weeks old or 8 weeks adjusted age since they were 3 weeks early). I highly recommend this class. Use code ANNA10 for 10% off this class and any of Little Dreamers Sleep Training Guides.
The Ollie Swaddle
I bought the Ollie Swaddles Bundle and got 2 swaddles to use for The Twins. They have been amazing. I love how easy they are to use and how well they calm down the babies and help them sleep. Use this link for 10% off your order.
Marpac Rohm Sound Machine
This is a great sound machine for travel. You can use it in the car, on a plane, at the store, at home, or Grandma’s house. I keep it in my diaper bag to have it for naps on the go, and it has been amazing. I can’t wait to travel with it.
Marpac Dohn White Noise Machine
I love this white noise machine. It is actually a fan, so the noise is constant and not a recorded sound that repeats. Having this in my room has really helped The Twins sleep better, and it has helped me sleep better at night. Win, win.
Travel Blackout Blind
These blinds are a great size and come in a travel bag. They work really well and help make any room a darker place for kids to sleep. I love using these when traveling or even at Grandma and Grandpa’s house to make nap time easier. They are a good size and easy to convert to fit many sizes of windows.
Blackout Paper Shades
I got these for my daughter’s bedroom and put them (I used 2 panels) behind her blinds to make her room darker for sleeping. Between these blackout shades, blinds, and blackout curtains, her room is nice and dark for nap time and a 7 pm bedtime during the sunshiny summer months. They also help to keep her room cooler in the summer.
Other Products
Bissell Spot Bot
Everyone needs one of these. As a parent, there will come a time when you have some pee, pooh, spit-up, vomit, and/or food on the carpet or couch that you will need to clean, and this is the way to do it. It is AMAZING.
Absorbase Cream
I use this as diaper rash ointment. I tried Dr. Smiths Ointment and Boudreaux’s Butt Paste and didn’t like them very much; they didn’t seem to work very well. A friend told me about this, and it is incredible.
Wet and Dry Bags
I have 4 of these. They are convenient when a blowout happens away from home or when you go swimming.
Link Toys
Everyone should have these. Babies and kids of all ages can play with these. My kids love these and have since they were newborns.
Car Mirror
I LOVE being able to see my kids while driving in the car; this mirror is great. I wish I had gotten this sooner.
ChooMee
These are great for babies and toddlers that want to eat from food pouches but may not be very clean about it, if you know what I mean. Using these silicone mouthpieces help your child to be able to eat on their own without making a mess.
Contigo Kids Water Bottle
As a mom of three, I have tried a wide variety of water bottles, sippy cups, and cups with my kids, and these are my favorite. My kids started using these at about 10 months old. They don’t leak, like every other sippy cup I have tried. Use pipe cleaners to clean the straw and wash them regularly. 😉
